The Full Story
Samiksha
- Finding the Missing Child -
Samiksha is an Artificial Intelligence-based platform, accessible to the general public which intends to solve the problem of missing children.
Meaning: to analyse or review

Mission
–
This Idea is unique and patentable since it will use automated surveillance of real-time and offline CCTV footage and still images of the missing child using face recognition algorithms with age invariance.
Automated publishing on social media and logging an online FIR based on user consent, along with bi-directional synchronization with Govt records like TrackMissingChild.

Vision
–
Using advanced age invariance facial recognition algorithms, Samiksha will increase the possibility of finding missing children by also considering age progression.
It will increase the chances of reporting orphans, and sighted children to police and child NGOs.

Statistics and Data
–
In India, 177 children go missing every day.
3,18,748 children went missing between January 2014 -December 2019.
Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal and Delhi have the highest number
for missing children respectively.

The Ecosystem
–
Samiksha Cloud Hosted Backend Engine
01

User uploads missing/ sighted child photos with details <––> In case of a missing child, the user is provided an option to register online/ offline FIR if it is not done.
04
Using FR, the system searches in the following:
a.Existing sighted records in the database (reported missing)
b.Existing missing records in the database (for sighted reported)
c.Video/ CCTV footage
07
Police will mark the case as resolved if the user confirms the match and a notification will be sent to the Police/ NGO whoever has custody of the child to facilitate a reunion.
02
The system stores the record in the missing/ sighted database which is auto-synced with Track Missing Child.
05
If a match is found or if any useful information fetched from social media it is detected, then the notification is sent to the user with the Reference ID.
08
In the case of a sighted child, a notification is sent to the nearest police station and NGO with child details to Rescue and Support/ Rehab.
03
The system publishes the record on social media and stores the details in the database.
06
Using the Reference ID shared by the user, police will check the probable matches/social media information details along with the user.
09
NGO can check the list of sighted children who are reported in their nearby location to provide support and rehab till their parents are traced.
